He stated, “We believe we should preserve our history, not tear it down.” Tr*ump, as usual, misses the point but adds, “Has to be stopped, it’s heritage.” Now, just because he’s a fascist imbecile, doesn’t mean he’s wrong about that “heritage.”

When Christopher Columbus first set foot on the white sands of Guanahani island, he performed a ceremony to “take possession” of the land for the king and queen of Spain, acting under the international laws of Western Christendom. Although the story of Columbus’ “discovery” has taken on mythological proportions in most of the Western world, few people are aware that his act of “possession” was based on a religious doctrine now known in history as the Doctrine of Discovery. Even fewer people realize that today – five centuries later – the United States government still uses this archaic Judeo-Christian doctrine to deny the rights of Native American Indians.
Continuing, the “heritage” of a ceremony to “take possession” of the land that the United States government (still )uses” needs to be completely done away with.

Vandals defaced a Columbus statue with a spray-paint tag calling for the removal of one bust in Queens, days after a similar tribute was knocked off its pedestal in Yonkers in August.

Conclusively, Tr*mp is wanting to continue that heritage of land theft.
Now, a group of advisors to President-elect Donald Trump on Native American issues wants to free those resources from what they call a suffocating federal bureaucracy that holds title to 56 million acres of tribal lands, two chairmen of the coalition told Reuters in exclusive interviews.
I wonder if that “group of advisors” thinks like James Robison, who said “The Increasing Wisdom Of Trump’s Tweets Is A Sign Of His Maturing Christian Faith.” Tr*ump, the first American — fascist — president, may disapprove of removing Columbus statues, but he loves him some American fascists.

HE WAS CAPTURED, PUT IN CHAINS, AND SENT OFF BY SHIP FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY AND IMPRISONMENT IN SPAIN. LIKE MOST OF THE INDIANS WHO HAD BEEN FORCED TO MAKE THAT VOYAGE, THOUGH, HE NEVER MADE IT TO SEVILLE: HE DIED EN ROUTE.
